Identity
Name design

A coalition that can uphold longterm visions that local governments might not able to.

Problem

Non-Indigenous companies have abused the trust of First Nations, while some have councils serve as little as two years, disrupting longterm planning.

Challenge

Craft a modern brand that respects and evokes the disparate histories, cultures, and aesthetics of 634 First Nations across Canada, while not falling into the tropes of being “too Indian.”

Opportunity

Eschew the tropes used by Indigenous enterprises and modernise what is possible for a Cree-Métis–owned company.

Solution

A three-month ethnographic investigation into Indigenous aesthetic across North America, working with creative professionals in the Cree community, and developing a corporate identity that straddles that line.

The Allnation Group is a coalition of Cree-Métis companies that serve various segments of the fields of construction, management, and civic infrastructure. Frustrated with the federal Government of Canada, non-Indigenous contractors, and other manners of communication breakdown, an Indigenous company serving an Indigenous vision was the mandate.
